Pickup is an AI receptionist that answers your phone when you can't. It captures the caller's details, texts you the moment they hang up, and never lets a customer go to voicemail.
Most sole traders miss a sizeable chunk of inbound calls — under a sink, on a roof, on the M25. Customers almost never leave a voicemail; they just ring the next plumber. Tell us your numbers and see what that's actually costing you.
All figures are illustrative — your actual conversion rate, job value, and missed-call count will vary. Slide the numbers to whatever feels true for you.

A natural British voice takes the caller's name, postcode and problem — no missed call, no voicemail.

The moment the call ends, a clear text lands on your phone with everything you need to ring back.

Tap to confirm the job and it drops straight onto your built-in calendar.
I'm Ralf. I kept hearing the same thing from tradespeople: you're up a ladder, the phone rings, and by the time you're free the customer's called the next name on Google. A missed call is a missed job.
Pickup is the fix — an AI receptionist that answers when you can't, takes down what the caller needs, and texts you the lead so you ring back on your own time.
We're just getting started, so when you join now you get me on the other end of the email, making sure you're set up and catching leads.
My promise: if Pickup doesn't catch you a lead in your 14-day trial, email me and I'll help you set it up properly myself — or you walk away having paid nothing.
The tone we're aiming for: warm, brisk, British. Not the drone of a robocall. Like a really good office assistant who's heard it all.
Captured as a lead and texted straight to Jen — here's exactly what she gets.
4 calls have come through today. 3 leads to ring back. 1 declined.
You're under a sink or up a ladder. After a few rings, your phone quietly forwards the call to Pickup — one-time dial-code setup, no app, no new number.
A natural British voice takes the caller's name, postcode, problem and number — and reads it back so it's never wrong. Flags emergencies, never quotes prices.
The second they hang up, Pickup texts you the lead and logs it on your dashboard. Ring back when you're free, then tap once to book it onto your calendar.
A natural British voice. Customers won't know it's AI — and we can clone yours so it sounds like the person on the van.
Tuned per trade — plumber, electrician, locksmith, decorator. Asks the right follow-ups, flags real emergencies.
The moment a customer hangs up, you get a text with their name, number, postcode and what they need. Ring them back when you're free.
Every call, transcript and recording in one place — plus a calendar built right in. Confirm a lead and the job drops onto your calendar. No Google Calendar to wire up.
Knows a BS1 5XJ from a B15 XJ. Reads addresses back letter by letter, NATO-alphabet style.
Won't quote prices. Won't promise work without you. Tells gas-leak callers to ring 999. Protects your reputation.
No card needed to start. £29/month after your 14-day free trial. Cancel any time, no exit fees.

No need — Pickup comes with its own built-in calendar. When a call comes in, the job lands on your dashboard; you confirm it, pick a time, and it's on your calendar. No Google Calendar, no syncing, no setup — and nothing's booked until you say yes.
Most won't. Pickup uses a natural British voice and has a tight, conversational script. We tell callers it's an assistant — we don't pretend to be you. Customers care that the call gets handled, not who handled it.
No. Pickup uses your existing mobile. You enable a single 'forward if no answer' setting on your handset (one short code, takes 30 seconds), and missed calls go to Pickup. You still answer calls when you can.
About 15–20 seconds by default (roughly 4–5 rings) — long enough for you to grab the phone if you're free, short enough that the caller doesn't hang up. You can customise it though: a longer dial code lets you pick any of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds. Up a ladder a lot? Try 25 or 30. Always too busy to answer anyway? Drop it to 5 so the AI picks up almost immediately. Full instructions are in your setup guide once you sign up.
Pickup is hard-wired to escalate rather than guess. It never quotes prices. It never confirms same-day work without you. It tells gas-leak callers to ring 999. And every call is recorded and transcribed — you'll see exactly what was said.
Pickup is trade-tuned. We have prompt templates for the main UK trades — plumbing, electrical, gas, decorating, locksmiths, mobile mechanics, and more. We adjust the script to your trade during onboarding.
About five minutes, all self-serve. After you sign up, you dial one short code on your phone (**61*[your-pickup-number]#) to forward unanswered calls to Pickup. That's it. No calendar to connect, no app to install, no video call to schedule.
One click. No contract, no notice period, no exit fees. We earn the £29 every month or we don't deserve it.
14 days free. Live in about five minutes — all self-serve, no setup call to schedule. If you don't catch one extra job in the first month, you don't pay.
